Yeah! It´s time for another cover art story here at the revenge.
Who´d expect something like that? This time around it contains both spaceships and supernatural happenings, so take seat and let the Goblin guide you through the magic mist of haddock riffs...

Ok, let´s start with the beginning. In the beginning there was nothing, and then this band called Haddock came across the Goblins path with a wish to get a skull crushing front cover for their forthcoming Ep.
Luckily enough the Goblin was tired of fighting glorious battles against humanity and just in the right mood to do something fuzzy and down tuned for a change.
The dice was thrown and the Goblin did rise from the ashes and went home to the lair to make a fire out of the inspirational material below and the lyrics to the Haddock song "Collition demolition".
Simple, effective and tough!
So this is how the first sketch looks like (5X5,cm). It was made very quick just to get the basic idea in order.
When the first sketch had been approved it was time to clean up the graphics by making a larger original.
At this point the Goblin thought cleverly that this work soon was to be done.
That thought would of course not last long...
Because after the basic composition is made....
there´s always this mandatory testing of colors that can go on in absurdum.
Here´s two of them that was sent to the band:
Then there was time to build in the bleeding logo.
In consultation we thought it would look the best if it got placed something like this:
At this stage the band wanted to have the logo incorporated to a larger extent and the Goblin was not completely pleased either. Rethinking and remaking called out a new version based on the same idea, but with more ambition and attention to detail. This is the inked black and white try-out:
After this effort was the troll satisfied for the moment. With a feeling of having done half the work, it was time to rest in the nameless void.
